Outdoor Kitchen Trends for 2016

Outdoor Kitchen Trends for 2016 The kitchen is more than just a place to prepare meals.  It is a gathering place to bring family and friends together around food.  With the rise of eating at home, people are looking for new ways to entertain.  One way is to bring the dining experience outside.  With this move toward feeding guests outdoors, 2016 is seeing quite a few trends take off as well. Larger Grills with Add On Options The first thing that often comes to mind with outdoor dining is a grill.  Usually, these grills are just a few burners under a lid.  While these are still available, new grills are beginning to surface that provide cooks with a variety of options.  Grills are becoming larger, some with as many as twelve burners.  And that's not all.  They are available with outer burners for pots and pans on which one can boil water or heat sauces.  They also have griddles, warming racks, rotisseries and even cabinets underneath for storage. Pizza Ovens Homeowners are doing more than just grilling outside these days.  One of the hottest trends for 2016 is the outdoor pizza oven.  These are available in a multitude of options to fit just about any budget.  You can choose from a stainless steel, stone-lined variety or go for a real wood fired oven.  These tend to run a bit on the expensive side, but there are cast iron options that will allow those with a smaller budget to entertain outside with a fresh, homemade pizza. Bringing the Indoors Out 2016 is seeing a rise in fully customized cooking spaces with stainless steel cabinets, which are weather, rot and insect resistant and sturdy countertops of weather resistant granite or tile.  Not only that, but these spaces are being equipped with refrigerators, sinks, fans and heating units.  They are being fully furnished with tables, chairs and even televisions.  Now the host can stay with his or her guests the whole time, rather than having to continually interrupt to run indoors to grab a missing item.  And to protect these new outdoor kitchens from the elements, people are making sure to cover their outdoor kitchens with appropriate roofing structures.Outdoor kitchens are becoming increasingly popular as people move toward cooking at home.  They allow homeowners a new backdrop in which to entertain.  The options for cooking outside are no longer limited to simply grilling.  Cooks can create just about anything while they and their guests enjoy a change of scenery and a wonderful breath of fresh air without ever having to leave the house.
